WELCOME!
I’m Casey. In May 2021, I entered my 3rd decade of life, and a lot has shifted since then.
After experiencing serious pandemic teaching burnout, I resigned mid-year from my elementary teaching job in Mexico and returned to Colorado.
For 8 years, my teaching career allowed me to live a beautiful life abroad in Thailand, Egypt, Thailand again, and Mexico. I am so grateful for this chapter.
My next chapter begins with rest, preparation, and embarking on El Camino in Spain- a pilgrimage that has been calling my name for quite some time.
THE BLOG
The Words of a Wanderer blog has experienced a revival, much like myself.
I have always been called to write. It helps me make sense of life.
If you’ve know me for awhile, you may remember that this website was once a travel blog. I’m expanding the blog to encompass my life and not just my travels. You’ll find content that includes gratitude, poems, quotes, self-care, mindfulness, and more. So, think of this as a life blog/diary rather than travel blog.
This blog is a passion project and an ever-evolving work in progress.
This blog is my space to process, unleash creativity, and share from my heart as I find my way in this world. I’m on a journey to live authentically and unapologetically. I’m blazing my path and seeking my purpose. I’d love for you to join me on this journey.
MORE ABOUT ME
I love swimming in the ocean, matcha tea, and reading a good book.
I’m an introvert and an empath.
I also love… traveling, exploring new cities, trying new foods, making cross cultural connections, thrifting, rainy days, coffee in the morning, spending time with family and friends, petting dogs and cats, alone time, doing yoga, mindfulness and meditation, cooking, organizing, & of course, writing.
